It can be difficult to know when it’s the right time to consider nursing care. At Cumbrae Lodge, we look for signs such as trouble with daily tasks like washing or dressing, worsening long-term health conditions, recent hospital visits, falls, or noticeable changes in appetite or weight. Increased confusion, difficulty managing medications, or the need for specialist medical equipment are also signs that extra support may be needed.

Our experienced nursing team can assess your loved one’s needs and guide you towards the right level of care. We believe it’s important to involve your relative in the conversation and make decisions together wherever possible, ensuring they feel supported, respected, and safe.

At Cumbrae Lodge, the safety and well-being of our residents is our top priority. Our nursing team is fully trained and qualified, and we make sure there are always enough staff on hand to provide support whenever it’s needed.

We follow strict procedures for medication management, infection control, and regular safety checks throughout the home. On top of this, we have security measures in place to prevent unauthorised access, so residents can feel safe and secure while receiving the care they need.

At Cumbrae Lodge, we ask for a 28-day notice if a resident receiving long-term care plans to move out. Our friendly team is available around the clock to support you during the transition and answer any questions you may have.
