Cumbrae Lodge Celebrates 30 Years of Care With Spectacular Circus-Themed Party

Residents, families and staff at Cumbrae Lodge Care Home have celebrated an incredible 30 years of care with a colourful circus-themed birthday party filled with entertainment, laughter and plenty of memories.

The home marked its milestone 30th birthday, bringing residents and colleagues together for a special celebration inspired by a traditional day at the circus.

The home was transformed for the occasion, with staff dressing up as clowns and guests enjoying an afternoon packed with entertainment, games, food and drinks.

Adding to the festivities was popular party entertainer Uncle Billy, alongside live musical entertainment from a singer, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Most of the home’s residents joined the celebrations, supported by the care team working on the day, Home Manager Lee Gove, Deputy Manager Charlene Gibb and Activity team members Daisy Upton and Thomas Williams.

For the team, the occasion was not only an opportunity to throw a memorable party, but also to recognise an important milestone in Cumbrae Lodge’s history and celebrate three decades of caring for and supporting people.

Daisy Upton, Activity Coordinator at Cumbrae Lodge Care Home, said:

“We had the absolute best day celebrating our birthday. We all celebrated in good old-fashioned circus style, with lots of fun and laughter.

Turning 30 is such a special milestone for Cumbrae Lodge, so we wanted to make sure it was an occasion our residents and team could really enjoy together.”

Over the past 30 years, Cumbrae Lodge has become home to many residents, with generations of colleagues playing their part in creating a welcoming community centred around care, companionship and meaningful experiences.

The milestone celebration gave everyone an opportunity to reflect on the home’s history while looking forward to the years and memories still to come."
