Macmillan Coffee Afternoon At Cumbrae Lodge Care Home

A cup of tea, a slice of homemade cake and good company can bring people together for a wonderful cause. Our residents, team members and visitors recently came together at Cumbrae Lodge Care Home for a Macmillan Coffee Afternoon, raising money to support the important work of Macmillan Cancer Support.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who joined us, donated and generously baked delicious cakes for the occasion. Thanks to everyone's kindness, we have raised £60 so far, and we hope to raise even more as donations continue to come in.

The afternoon was a lovely opportunity to enjoy refreshments, catch up with one another and show support for a charity that provides practical, emotional and financial assistance to people affected by cancer. Every donation, however big or small, can help make a difference to those who need support during a difficult time.

Fundraising events like this are also a valuable way to bring people together. Whether someone contributes by baking, donating, helping organise the afternoon or simply coming along for a chat, everyone has a part to play. It is wonderful to see the generosity and community spirit shown by everyone involved.

At Cumbrae Lodge Care Home, we are proud to support meaningful causes and create opportunities for residents, families, staff and the wider community to come together. Events like our Macmillan Coffee Afternoon remind us how much can be achieved when people contribute in their own way.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make the afternoon such a success. Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to seeing how much more we can raise for Macmillan Cancer Support.
