A Fantastic Summer Fete at Cumbrae Lodge Care Home

Cumbrae Lodge Care Home in Irvine enjoyed a fantastic Summer Fete, bringing residents, families, friends and members of the wider community together for an afternoon of fun, laughter and good company.

Despite the changeable weather, everyone made the most of the occasion, with plenty happening throughout the day. Residents enjoyed spending time with their loved ones, catching up with visitors and taking part in the different activities and entertainment on offer.

One of the highlights was meeting some very special furry visitors, with residents having the opportunity to hold and spend time with adorable rabbits. The animals were a big hit, creating plenty of smiles and giving residents the chance to enjoy a relaxing and memorable animal encounter.

The fete was also a fantastic team effort, with staff from across Cumbrae Lodge helping to make the day such a success. The activities, care, kitchen, domestic, nursing and maintenance teams all played their part, with some fantastic outfits adding an extra touch of fun to the celebrations.

There was plenty of excitement throughout the day, including a memorable water challenge. A special mention goes to Michelle, who bravely took part and was willing to get soaked in the name of a little summer fun!

The raffle was another important part of the event, and the home would like to thank everyone who generously donated prizes. The kindness and support shown by families, friends and the wider community helped make the fete possible.

It was particularly lovely to see residents spending time with their families and friends, including the children who came along. Events such as the Summer Fete provide wonderful opportunities for different generations to come together, share experiences and create new memories.

From meeting the rabbits and enjoying the activities to chatting with visitors and simply spending time together, the afternoon was filled with moments for residents to enjoy.
